I am an open and affirming Christian who feels called to help those struggling with ADHD. My husband Chris and I have been married for 26+ years and raised five children together – two with ADHD. After receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Texas Tech University, I spent 13 years with Celanese Chemical Company. I did work as a chemist but, I enjoyed my time working on process design and improvement most of all. I left Celanese to explore my entrepreneurial aspirations by starting my own print and promotional products company. After 10 years, I sold that business to focus on opportunities where I could combine my natural talents for encouragement, discernment, and teaching with my passion for ADHD advocacy. Becoming an ADHD coach was a perfect fit for me.
One-time scientist, lifetime geek, I continue to be intrigued by everything science. There is not an episode of “How It’s Made” or “The Big Bang Theory” I haven’t seen. History holds a certain fascination for me now too, even though I have great difficulty in keeping names and dates straight. I love to travel and no matter how rustic or elegant the destination, you will usually find me hunting rocks, walking around water or gazing at patterns in the architecture.
And yes, I have ADHD!
When I was little my dad said I could be anything. I truly believed him. But, as I got older my performance ceased to reflect my true capabilities.
